got a spare key for my car at last
got it from middlehurst nissan in merseyside, super bunch of guys who put themselves out big time. They sourced a key from japan, cut it and programmed it all for £180. I know that is a lot of dosh but i did get a quote for £350
My local Nissan man said it could not be done
So,
I had a day off work
250 mile round trip
new key
had a good look around the new gtr
happy man
Middlehurst get my vote.

hmmmm that would be a hell of a round trip but not having a spare worries the hell out of me. How did you go about sorting everything out with them?

 

Hi,
I contacted the guy(dave) at middlehurst, he arranged to import a key from his contact in Japan. When it arrived he asked me to send pic of my key to make sure profile was o.k..
He needs the NATS number a couple of days before you go to get the key cut to save time when you are there. (number is on your BCM).
arranged a time to go up there and it took him about an hour.
plenty of time to drool over the GTR that he has got in there.
Very savvy buch of guys up there, can't praise them enough, seeing as my local Nissan man said it couldn't be done.
expensive for a Key I may never need but at least it has stopped me worrying about loosing my only key, and I had been quoted £350 ish.

I might have to do that. I never need much of an excuse to go for a long drive, and it will save having to try to educate the local nissan guys...even though the bloody factory is just down the road!!!

As for the GTR a guy who owns the local JDM import company owns this and took me out for a spin -
