geez...that definitely looks like a first time taper.
couldn't you get one long piece of tape anywhere on that bumper? the more edges, the more chance wind will peel it away. you also need to think aerodynamically. the tape needs to overlap in such a way that the edges are not against the wind, but with it. the side mirrors are also a good place to tape as well as 2" above the windshield. damn rookies
by the way, blue painter's tape at Home Depot is just as good and easy on the paint than what looks like the green automotive stuff you are using. It is also cheaper too.
