My Black on Black G

Whats up everyone. Been here for a while but haven't posted many pics until now. I just did the wheels. Got some projectors coming next week.

As of now, external mods are Volk LE37T 19x9.5+22 F & 19x10.5+22 R wheels, Michelin PS2 255/35/19 F 275/35/19 R Tires, HKS Hipermax RS Coilovers, Stillen Sways w/ Polyurethane Bushings, Stoptech Stage 2 Brake Kit - Rotors/Axxis Ult Pads/SS Lines/Motul Fluid/etc..I think that's it on the outside.. just some other misc parts.. lights, z-tube, etc

On the inside, I have an Alpine head unit driving JL 300/2 + factory amp + JL 500/1 which go to Focal 165K2P fronts, factory rears, and a JL 10W6V2 Sub. The whole thing is fed by a computer which for about a year used a 7" TS LCD. Now I'm testing a 10.4" LCD. The setup features bluetooth, wifi, dvd-rw, etc. It's tied into the factory steering wheel controls so I can easily use it when I'm driving real crazy like lol. I think that's about it for the inside, maybe also headrests and other small tweaks...

edit:
oh one more thing- i got the wheels and suspension from status auto, a forum vendor i believe. this is an excellent company to do business with. absolutely top tier service. i dont normally give advertising but doing business with them was that good. i will be posting a more detailed review of them later on when the car is done, but the short of it is that i very highly recommend them if they have what you need.

thanks for the compliments. merry christmas to everyone

yes i live in the caribbean in the us virgin islands actually. i installed the wheels and suspension stuff on monday. it was a long day lol...

if anyones interested here are a couple more pics from monday..excuse the quality i was just taking them for fun.

view east when i woke up... checking for rain as it normally comes from the east. it would be a sunny day.

a couple cars. the sentra and g are mine. i was actually supposed to get a 07 altima i bought for my sister but it hadnt come yet. its supposidly here now though so when the gov't reopens on wed i will go pick it up. btw excuse the grass it had been a busy week trying to get everything. grass has since been cut

my cousin has a 06 altima se-r. he bought an exhaust that coincidentally made the same boat. so we were picking that up too. it was kinda funny going down there with that much cash to clear everything through customs.. boxes in the back of the truck had so many brands it was silly. its a car island so everyone was interested lol. the customs guy took the opportunity to inspect my boxes, again. eventually we were off, but not before being raped 6% + 3% of prices paid - $1k. wasnt bad for my cousin, sucked a lot for me .. oh well you gotta pay to play

his exhaust

another view

my coilovers

my install, in progress.

that night

thanks..

for a year and a half i had the only g35 here.
you can imagine what that was like...

then someone got a silver 06 g... car looks pretty cool. guy always seems to take care of it.

then someone got a black 03 6mt, but no aero w/ 06 spoiler. he doesnt take care of it though. car looks like it went off roading or something

i think that motivated me to go a step further do the wheels lol.

as of now that's all there is on the streets. the nissan dealership here just changed management and is now selling g35s. they have a black 07 sedan on the lot for $54k and a white 06 coupe on the lot for $55k. both prices usd of course. judging by peoples reactions to my car i expect a lot more Gs to be sold.

fwiw as far as other cars go, there are 3x sti here, 1xz coupe, 3x z roadster, 1x645, 1xevo, 2xs-class, 1x cl class. a bunch of suvs of all kinds. a bunch of e46s, 2 m3s. a few e39s and older 3s, 5s and 7s. its cool when you can see a car and immidiately know who it is.

Wow, seems like you got a pretty good handle on Who has What out there. By the sound of it, your G has some status, especially with the new wheels. Way to represent!

thx again for the comments.

-yes it can be nice having a G here- i feel that i wouldnt be able to drive it the way i do here if i were in the states. there are moments where it feels like a fantasy... maxing it on winding mountainside roads that overlook the caribbean sea.. the attention.. the sound&looks of the car stopping people in their tracks as they stare... the feeling of extracting so much from a car and knowing thats what the car was made to do.... but it all comes at a high cost. In short, its limited resources. I do all of my own work. It works ok for me because I have no problems reading the ESM cover to cover if necessary and am also fortunate enough to have some extremely talented family members who know how to do pretty much anything that needs to be done... but again resources are limited and modern cars are increasingly sophisticated. Many places will not do business with people in the VI and fedex+ups are not options on shipping due to price. so simple things i cant do myself like getting tires mounted or getting the car aligned become nail biting adventures. On that note i refuse to take my car to the dealership unless the cost to fix is really, really high (thousands). i know much more (and am willing to learn/do much more..) about my car than anyone here does, nissan included -and i dont mean to sound conceited. anyway its something of an experiment to see what it would be like with a car like this....and so far its a toss up on whether id want to own a GT-R here (still leaning on YES)....the upsides are really sexy but the downsides are significant.

-yes the car was imported...if i were buying now I'd still import. they have a G here for sale for $54k, but the cost to import one is about $4k.. you'd think a lot of people import but almost no one does...i was the first with a G/Z, back in May of '04...

-thats not the factory nav screen, my car doesnt have navigation. i added the top screen via a kit sold here at one time (think it was by god_of_cpu?) that i modified to fit better... and then my cousin and i custom fab'd a mount for the 2nd screen to attach to, which is dependant on the 2din modification i also did..
