Photos of Clear Bra and Tint install

I had my car done by Envisage Design Labs and the tint was done by Window Tints Etc. Both are in Southern CA. The clear bra took two guys about 4 hours to install. The job includes bumper, hood, fenders, lights and door handle cups. Cost for clear bra installed was $625. Pattern was by XPEL, material by 3M. Envisage used a plotter to cut the bra out of a bulk roll of 3M material. The hood is actually almost half covered with film.

I watched them from beginning to end and knew there was no way I could have done this. For those of you thinking about buying the kit and doing it yourself, keep in mind you take a chance of messing it up. My installers got it on the first try, but they could always cut out a new one as needed.

Yes, they whole headlight is covered:

I was able photograph the line on the fender:

The the lifetime metalized tint installed was 35% on doors and rear window. The tint took two guys about 2 hours to install. Cost was $235

GC ... You should see how easy the scratches in the door handle pockets show up on blue slate! It gave me a reason to open the door for the wife! BUT, now that I had the door handle pockets covered ...

Nice G Terrycs. And nice color choice too.
I have my clear bra done at the same place back when I bought my G. Bain (I think that's his name) was real nice. He really took time to do the job right.

Yup, Bain and his brother Ed both worked on my car. The gallery on their website shows some pretty incredible cars they've done.

They are also in the process of moving to two new locations.

Neal, I agree with the poor paint quality of the Infiniti/Nissan, but as far as the clear bra goes it is something I would put on any make of vehicle, so it is not an extra cost because it is an Infiniti.

Beautiful G Terrycs

Well, sure, I don't believe $700 is worth it myself....because I don't like the look of the clear bra in person. When I was deciding whether I should get it or not, I looked at my Maxima and counted about 9-10 chips on it and asked myself if I wanted a bra to prevent that (130k+ miles at the time). Then, the fact that a 3M recommended installer wanted my new car for 2 days sold me on never looking into that again, just struck me as a shady business.

Anyway, I may have made a mistake, but I got the protection package which fixes dings (PDR), chips with some touchup process, interior tears, and wheel scrapes--5 yrs./unlimited mileage. Again, I may have made a mistake because I don't want any dings to begin with....but 4-5 PDR's in the next 5 yrs. will pay for this package (I told the business manager absolutely not to this package and then he lowered the price, and like a su**** I went for it).

OK, the point to my long-winded comment is that peace-of-mind does have a dollar value, and some may feel better with the clear bra knowing they're protected, especially when the car is brand-new. So this type of thing, if it gets us that PoM, just pay it, walk away, and don't think about it anymore!
