Finally, Pics of My G :) (56k, careful! :P)
After being here for a while, I've finally gotten off my lazy *** to take pictures...
actually, I don't have a very good digital camera, so these are actual prints scanned onto my computer that I photoshopped [a little], so please excuse the noise and non-sharpness
. The only digital camera I have is my brother's 5MP Sony DSC T100 or something like that... it's a point & shoot. I took all of these pics with a Nikon N80 with an AF Nikkor 28-200mm. The only experience I have with photography is two high school classes for a fine arts requirement, and that was only with black & white photos only. I plan on purchasing a Nikon D80 soon.
Enjoy, she's mostly stock
Also some other pics that I took near my house to waste film...
These city shots are, besides re-sized, untouched.
Any criticisms & feedback on photoshop/picture composition/etc. are welcome!

EDIT: oops, forgot this one xD

The view of Los Angeles from my house
(Can't see downtown in this pic b/c of smog
)

This is an inset of the Wilshire Boulevard area in Santa Monica

This is an inset of the new Getty Center and Downtown LA

This is an inset of the Wilshire Boulevard area in Beverly Hills (sort of... more like between Beverly Hills and Santa Monica)

And this shot? Well, it's a shot of the Governator's House [middle of pic towards the bottom right] (ssshhh!!
)

gotta love that LA smog!
as for the automotive pics..
the lighting isn't great with any of the pics that i see.
the backgrounds are also very distracting. the second picture, for example, looks like you have a light pole growing out of your car. that's a very common mistake people make - avoid poles/trees!
the sunlight is pretty harsh...causing those PITA shadows. when you must shoot in the harsh sunlight, shoot with it, not against it.

yeah, I definitely shot at a bad time.
thinking about it, when i started taking the pictures, i really didn't have any place in mind that was a flat & non-noisy background, so i just decided to find some "scenic" ones.
besides, if i take close up shots, who knows what will pop up in the pictures?
thanks for the comments/criticisms. keep 'em coming

gracias once more for the comments.
i think the colors are a little harsh because i adjusted the contrast (i think i increased it a little on all photos).
and the pad? haha, i wish. it's an old 1960s home that seems to like to fall apart.
