Thanks Cal.

Those are awesome. The open end was the one thing I didn't like before.
Time to see if I can pick up a set.

Yeah I contacted Macken which is the US distributor that deals with Volk Racing and they basically gave me the run around and told me that I'd have to speak to the people that sold me the lugs. Because I bought them on eBay and supposedly there's a lot of fake merchandise being sold there. I think this is bull**** and I strongly recommend anyone whos considering purchasing any Volk product to stay away from them. They will not stand by their word and they won't help me out.

To whom it may concern,
Last summer I purchased a set of Volk's Racing Formula Lug nuts. Today I went to get my wheels balanced and it turns out one of the caps got stuck because the thread was broken somehow, the mechanic was forced to drill it out. He said the material is worse than plastic. All the tools become rounded after one or two times of installing the lugs. The quality is very very poor for a product which costs so much, comparatively lugs which are made of a stronger material such as gorilla, McGards, or even OEM are much stronger and are exponentially cheaper and more reliable. The only advantage of these is that they offer security in that they are more than one piece, and that that they look way better than other lugs. This is unacceptable. The attached keys, which are used for installation of the lugs also have rounded out after installation. I would appreciate if you can supply me with a replacement set because I am very dissapointed that a $300+ product has fallen apart after simple use and basic installation. Do you offer a warranty or stand by your product in any way? I am surprised and frustrated at the amount of complaint that I have encountered after letting some other people know, it seems this is a common problem with these lug nuts. I am requesting that you somehow warranty my item because the lugs have become unsafe to use because of the premature wear and poor materials. I am quite literally the only person who has installed these lug nuts on my car and I did so with extra care and scrutiny, the caps sometimes even required the use of WD-40 in order for them to screw in properly. Please help me out, I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. I will attach pictures of the lugs in their current condition.

Sincerely,

Igor
To Igor,

Sorry for the inconvenience that the product has caused for you. For warranty information you would have to go to a dealer that sells our products. They will be able to determine the situation regarding the product, and will be able to properly address the issue.

Sincerely,

I purchased the lug set from a seller on eBay, the seller didn't manufacture the product YOUR company did. I don't see how the seller has anything to do with the warranty, I'm contacting you because you're the distributor of the product and as far as I'm concerned your company is responsible for my issue and the same for others who are experiencing this. The quality reflected in this product is not appropriate for a product at this price point. If I was to go out and buy a water bottle from a grocery store made and manufactured by coca-cola I wouldn't contact the grocery store if there was an issue with the water, I would contact Coca-Cola. I don't appreciate you giving me the run around, I want a solution and a replacement to the faulty product your company distributes. It's not as if it's a big secret, there are more than a few people complaining about your lugs. If you want proof read the following links.

To Igor,

We understand your frustration, but due to the nature of eBay, we have no way to verify the nature of your purchase. Please contact the original seller of your product regarding this issue. If the seller is an authorized dealer, they will be able to address the issue. We only deal with authorized distributors and dealers regarding any type of warranty issue. We do not deal or sell to the public. Due to the nature of eBay, a lot of products can be grey market products or even counterfeit, though we have staff constantly monitoring this activity, there is no way for us to fully regulate this issue. Once again, sorry for your frustration, but the only way to have this problem addressed is by contacting the seller who sold you the product.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Chou

Who replaced the set? The company or the dealer?

I have a set of Volk Formula Lugs also, anyone know where I can get a new key for them? I have taken them off once to change fitment specs and the damn key sripped. The metal is so soft it is a perfect circle. The lug is fine just at allen key is shot. Learned my lesson not to hit them with an impact gun.

In my case it is the actual lug key not the insert plastic key. I was just simply running impact to tighten them up. IDK kinda shotty if you ask me cause they were not cheap.
