I usually go to SpeedTrials and Redline Time Attack practices. I have yet to try SpeedVentures.

I have on right now Silk Road Coils, SPL A-Arms, SPC Rear Camber, Stillen Sways and am corner balanced. I know who you are referring to at the incident at Buttonwillow. I know the Evo guy and he is definitely an advanced driver, been doing it for a long time and he is fast. The S2000 was not and it was that guys first time out in his friends car.

 

looks like you have a pretty solid setup. i have an appt to get corner balanced on the third of january, but am now contemplating with going for a T2/TC Kline setup.

about that crash - the biggest reason why i said that they probably didn't belong there was based on what the witnesses saw. these weren't just ordinary witnesses though, they were instructors! one of the instructors was right behind the s2000 (he was the one who was passed). the instructor saw the s2000 spin and went around him slowly. he also noted that the corner workers at this point began throwing the yellow flag which the car behind the instructor saw. the white evo apparently did not heed the warnings and went blasting down magic mountain. they shut down the track and had a debriefing on it and that's what the head instructor said. i'm not talking down on your friend, or the s2000 - just stating what was said at the debriefing. either way, they were both lucky that it wasn't worse.
