yup, you got it! at the time, i thought the impul side resembled the stock one too much, so i went with the ings because it was "girthier." plus, they were in stock at bulletproof when i was there

Looks great Nick. What track events do you usually go to? What suspension are you on? Every time I go to the track, I hear a new squeak or rattle coming from the suspension. Maybe it's time to go with something else.

hey dan. i've been to track events mostly with speedventures. i went with speedtrialusa once about a week ago, but they run their events a little differently than speedventures (which isn't necessarily a good thing).
i saw my first car-to-car contact incident happen with them (i've only been doing this for about a year so i haven't seen much) and was surprised to learn that it was in the "advanced" group. these two individuals should not have been in that group that's for sure.

i am currently running on tein basics with various strut/body braces, adjustable a-arms, rear toe bolts/camber arms, and adjustable endlinks. i will also be getting corner balanced in january.

what suspension are you running? if i could pass on some wisdom that i have learned from others:
  • pillow ***** are useless for you unless you go to the track all the time. other than that, they could be just noise makers on the street.
  • don't get too crazy with an adjustable setup. how do you know what to adjust it to if you don't know what the adjustment does or what you are looking for?
  • learn how to drive YOUR car first, then see what is missing or what YOU need and are comfortable with (very key). you could have $10k of gear, but it's useless if you don't know how to use it
  • the more stuff you add, the more noise it's going to make, it really is that simple.
hope that helps dan, it certainly has helped me!

I would never get tein basics on any car that I would put on a track though. They are incredibly soft compared to all other coilover setups.

they're not that soft with the 9kg/mm spring rate. i found them to be very predictable in all the tracks that i've been to. you may be better than me, but i found them to be reliable with quick steering response (even on buttonwillow's esses, just before/after star mazda (depending on configuration). i may eventually move up to cusco zero-2's or kw variants when i get more track days in, or if i feel i need them even after corner balancing.
