i tired putting air in the tire but as i put in air i can literally hear "pssss" sound as i fill the tire with air which only means that the bead isnt set properly. so do u guys think theres anything i can tell the tire shop to try. i highly doubt the wheel is bent though.
easy thing to do is mounted another tire thats the same size. if that one seals up ur old tire is has a damaged bead.Originally Posted by status:one

Similar situation happened to me before. The reason for leakage was because in the process of mounting them on, somehow the sidewall of one of the tires ripped, so therefore i had a leak. Realized this after i had gone to the tire shop back and forth for repair and finally saw the sidewall messed up.

^^ so was the tire a waste then? i dont see my sidewall ripped though. the problem i have is when i put in about 40psi of air its down to like 15-20psi in a matter of hours but it stays at 15psi

yes the brand new yokohama was thrown away after. I had to rock a used one. Same thing with me. I leave the tire shop all happy, get home, rest, then get back on the G 2hours later and flat again.
But if your sidewalls are 0k then its something else.

Unless you're running like a -20 on that rim there is absolutely no need to run that small of a tire.Originally Posted by sk8bo4rdv
ok guys so i mounted the 235/35 general exclaims on my 10.5 and one tire is leaking air. anyone know what i can do to stop the leak. i took it to the tire shop and the tried bead sealer but still air is leaking. i dont think the bead is setting properly. one tire mounted with no problem so i know its not that they are "too stretched". thanks fellas
