Cusco 6pt cage in a G35

But you're auto and not FI... why the cage?
hahahah... I love how people think you have to be manual and FI'd to track the car. Whatever, I still think the cage is sweet man... for the track or for show.
Randy, that harness bar is pretty nice man... I gotta check that out next time I see you.

do you have any idea what a real cage looks like? that thing will fold on you in a heartbeat in an accident. it's not sanctioned for ANY HPDE's and actually makes your car a more dangerous place to be.
the cusco cage is a show cage. why do you think it can be bolted together? that's so you can remove it and drive home. the only place you should have any sort of bolts is where the cage meets the car...and even then it would just be to keep it aligned while you weld it into place.
i should probably just stop, though. If I drop too much truth and reality on this thread i'll probably end up banned. the scariest thing of all is that people are equating this cage with added safety. well, game on.
edit: "i probably got it for less than what you're thinking" unless you got it for a hundred bucks, you got ripped.
also, how on earth is your car for show? let's be realistic here.
whatever, floss away with ya cloth seats

I don't really see the point of a non-functional cage on a rather stock car when you don't even track it, not that that matters because it's non-functional anyway.
Sorry, I just don't see the point.

if you know what a real cage is, and you still buy the cusco (even at a dealer rate), then i guess you know you're going to take a folded pole to the face if you ever get into a wreck with it.
game on, i guess.

Isn't it dangerous to ride around in a car with a rool cage without a helmet and padding on the bars? Even a slight collison (not roll over) could slam your head into one of the bars cracking your skull.
Plus in a roll over I don't know if i'd trust bolts and bars with so many bends not to break or compress, possibly into me.
But I guess looking good isn't allways safe.
