Final major project - new trunk set up.

Well I have spent the last couple of weeks redoing my trunk audio/video set up. I wanted to do something that looked really good, sounded good, and wasn't to crazy in price.
I was introduced to the shop Sight Waves in Eagle Rock by a friend and came up with a plan.
So thanks to Omar for the great deal on the equipment and to Eric for making me a custom sub enclosure and the speaker pods for the trunk lid.

The equipment I went with was :
Audison amplifiers - LRx 1.1K & LRx 6.9
Hertz sub woofers - ES250 ( 2- 10" )
Hertz seperates - esk130 ( 5 1/4" 2way )
Digital living 7" picture frame
reused the Alpine 7" monitors
and added a playstation2 that I allready had.

besides building the sub box and speaker pods, I did all the design, building and install myself. The suede covering was done by Chuy's auto upholstery.
The amps and frame were custom painted by Auto Explosion.

I want to do some crazy audio on my car, too, but I don't really want to add more weight to my car without going FI first....

Looks super clean Randy! You make me jealous even more now. hahaha

Very nice man, looks like you did a top job, although I only think about one thing WEIGHT!!! I'm always considering weight when it comes to my car, even though I've got a 10" sub in my Audi S3 back home

Nice set up...I toyed with the idea of using a digital picture frame too in my setup to play pictures/videos instead of running a regular tv.

It's nice, and far better than any setup I'll most likely ever have.

That said, I'm disappointed with the final result. The car has such an amazing exterior, between the bodywork, paint, and wheels. This trunk A/V setup is FAR from impressive, by comparison. It's pretty amateur and not even very clean with the wide bezels, exposed screws, and undersized screens.

nice install but i have to agree with triple. its not as visually pleasing as it could be. the trunk seems too cluttered and contrasts with the open space on the lid. it still is impressive for doing it all yourself though so props on that.

Looks good. I like the old setup too but this one seems more subtle.
