Damn man, sorry to hear. Someone just did the exact same thing to my car not too long ago. Plus the note they left on my car only had their first name and phone number. When I called the person's number on the note, they claimed that they were never there at the time of the accident, and had nothing to do with it. I was able to dig up a lot of info on the person though, and the insurance agency is putting the pressure on them now.

Pisses me off that these people can sleep at night knowing they're costing someone else a ton of money to fix their car.

Sucks man. Only positive is it looks like only your front bumper was damaged. If so, you can pick up another oem painted in the marketplace for cheap, or you can take this as an opportunity to go aftermarket.

My mom backed into someone once. She left a note with all her info on it. For some reason I think she was dinged 2 points for admiting fault. The insurance person told her to ONLY leave your name and phone number. Don't put something like, "oooops I just backed into your car" or "Sorry, I f'ed up your bumper."

Another way to look at it is.... if you only leave your name/number, maybe when they call to yell at you, you can try to work things out without having to involve the insurance companies.

Same thing happened to a buddy of mine but he was telling what it cost before asking the person what happened she played dumb and said she had no idea what he was talking about. i would have played it off like it wasnt a big deal just say it was minor but thank you for leaving our number then get the admission and full name then put the pressure on.

On the other hand my sister backed into a person in her parking lot and went and told the person they seemed cool about it it was a small scuff on the rear bumper. Then they went and got a super high quote to fix it. She told them she wanted 3 quotes and she wanted to see the quote so she could see what was being fixed. They were trying to get every dent on the car fixed she refused to pay the outragous amount then the tried intimidating her! I told her to straight up tell them to go get F#@*ed and not pay them for anything. You try to make it right and they want to take advantage and screw you over. Now my sister will likely never leave her number again. You just cant win somedays. Sorry about your luck OP.

I feel your pain... at least in your case, the @sshole driving the other car couldn't have hurt any of your passengers...

some jerk hit my car and drove off without a note too. =(

i found Honda pieces at the scene, so I know its a freakkin' HONDA! there was a small streak of yellow paint right on the indentation of the bumper, so i thought it might be a yellow car. can you tell from the picture/paint what color the other car might have been? also, what kind of damage would their car have? scratches and chipped paint or dents too? i'm sure its someone from the area and i plan on nabbing them!
