I ended up buying another Phottix remote. My antenna snapped off, but it was my fault. And for $30, you can't beat it. Especially when the Canon wired remote is like $70.

i can see why... shouldn't be THAT much contrast though. i mean enough to hide some some dust/rust and not be able to see perfectly through the grilles.
also for example, on #1 it washes out the detail towards the rear of the car... it fails to capture the aggressive fender lines there.

no, that's just b/c g37's are weak. and you can thank the CPL for that. if i had the DPL adjusted for the rear, then the fender flare would be much more apparent. having the CPL adjusted for the front actually increases the reflection back there, making the fender flare much less apparent.
