my g35 sedan running straight pipes
so let me some this up sorry newb here. All you did was take out the muffler and put a straight pipe there and everything else is stock? If so like the dude above me says wouldnt you loose a lot of back pressure thus loosing noticeable power. If not i would like to do this mod and how much would it cost?
It will give you a better understanding of general exhaust principles and should help clear some things up for you.

TLDR version:
The best muffler for making power would be no muffler. Don't get hung up on "back pressure", worry more about exhaust velocity.

To be honest, I can't tell you why you think your car felt faster with a muffler. A muffler exists primarily to "muffle" sound. If mufflers made more power you would probably see the guys in NASCAR, F1, GT-Cup, etc. using them.
