Any show that awards 1st place to a car with stock wheels is a joke

If you are spending 10 grand on rear CF quarter panels, you better spent that money on some sick CF wheels before yuo even touch the rest of yuor car. Without wheels the car will look bad.

Quote: hey cut the guy some slack...
ballzy enough to be in a car show.
the CF looks good...congrats on both 1st place and the theme

hell, what diff. does it make what car show he was in...its still a trophy.

looks like ur on an expensive build (CF theme)

i second the direction of your build as well, are u Daily Driving this thing?
i would really invest in rims.drop.suspension next...

the gtr - is ok, it passes, because its all blacked out.
i'd get a diff. bumper. maybe carbon fiber? or thenew k2/inven bumper from klumzee

lil things add up...details is key,

its a good experience to be in a car show like this...just expect more competition/stricter judging in different shows in the future

GOOD LUCK! dont let these guys bust your *****, were hard asses around here, its like, it has to be perfect!! or else bust and flamed LOL...take it *** constructive criticizm
thanks for the compliments..i understand that many large car shows featrure older cars..excluding hin..but none the less there were alot on 350's 300zx's..and another g..class was small hey what can i say..

Quote: Been interested in your car since the start... however, seems like you've hit a rut. You need to hurry up and finish the CF. They make CF bumpers, sides with CF inlays, CF grills, roof overlays, etc... need to hurry up and get all that done... then it'llbe sweet. The hardest part will be the rear fenders... but in it's current state- I'm not a huge fan of how it looks... but has a lot of potential!
dont get me wrong i totally aggree, but ive had the car less than 2 yrs and including motor work ive dumped over 20k into it..im chilling out for a bit..next will most likely be wheels..thanks for following the build

i dont understand why everyone hates the 19in oems..just because they arent staggard doesnt mean there ****ty wheels, imo i think they look good..for now they will do..i want to be sure the wheels i do get are the ones that will not only suit the car,but look good as well,im leaning tword 20in GM axis pentas..theyre in budget and look good.

i think some CF 360 forged wheels would look sick!

Come on bro! Your weiling to spend 5k for some CF rear quarter panels. But only want to spend 1k on some Axis wheels? Like i said before, you need some direction on your build.

As for the OEM 19's? I love them, but I hate to see them painted. Esp when a car has OEM wheels, entering into a car show

GL on your build though

Congrats on your win though....

To be honest with you. You need some direction on your build. Your build is all over the place
Explain? Just because you don't share his taste doesn't mean his build is all over the place.

OP the only thing I would recommend would be the painting of the CF sides and doors (the doors are sick by the way).

Quote: as for the cf the rear qurters are a much larger project than anyone can imagine..there arent avail. anywhere and have to be made..its very expensive(5k per side) i dont plan on doing this until next yr ..plans are for the 1st full cf g,thus the reason im not painting the doors or fenders
sounds good bro! You could just have your rear quarter panels wrapped in cf. Then the price wouldn't be 5k. Further, the CF on your car isn't real CF anyways, which is why it makes sense to just wrap your quarter panels in CF

the cf on my car isnt real?..i dont know what leads you to say that,of course it is. i installed ever part on it myself..and as for the rear qurters it def. is an option to wrap and i will most likely lean that way unless i find a much better deal on rear quarters

It is just a fiberglass piece coated in a layer of CF. The CF has almost no contribution to the structural integrity of the part, its just for looks, hence it isn't a "real" CF part. The CF is just for looks anyways, so its not different than wrapping your quarterpanels in CF, its just for looks
