Never lose sight of why you're showing your car. If it's because you want to share your work and vision with other car enthusiats, then you're on the right track. Very few (maybe a dozen on this entire forum) can compete at the highest levels. The competition is fierce. Props to the OP for his award. Do what you do because you love doing it. Screw the haters.
Hey man. Just read back through the thread. That is so cool that your wife is not only supportive in spirit, but physically and financially supportive of your hobby. Very few of us get wives like that (my wife is teh same way). As far as defending a point, I didn't know there was a "point" being made. I just took it as you showing off your car.
Good luck in all future events and I look forward to seeing the progression of this.

Congratulations on your win! You're not the first one to get
for having the GT-R front bumper. It's hard to imagine the crap you guys put
up with and yet when you're at a meet the crowds gather around your car like crazy and the photos never quit. But the negative bull **** never stops....! Right Lawrence?

lol how right you are,i had a greddy but sold it..my fmic was so off center due to the piping from the procharger sameside fmic it just didnt look right..the gtr front imo isnt as bad as everyone makes it out to be...thanks for the compliments!!!
I think that this pretty much sums it up perfectly....Well said. I know full well that I am not on that higher level yet, but I am tryin to get there. Much props to those that are there, but ya didn't start out there and had to build from the ground up. IRock and I are both in Kentucky and thus hit up alot of shows here. Different crowd. Hell, they had a few friggin tractors at this show but it was a pretty large show and included several hundred cars, so it is what it is. Preciate those that can appreciate that people love modding their cars in any way and still keepin it lookin nice.

+1 Agreed!
Congrats, OP!
Too much carbon fiber? When is it too much? I always see threads where people say "not enough carbon fiber, looks out of place..."
Carbon fiber isn't exactly cheap, and the OP does have a lot of it on his car. I'm sure if he wants to continue with his CF theme, he will get more pieces once he gets more money, which is probably why he still has powdercoated wheels and isn't slammed [wheels/tires & coilovers, I'm sure you know, cost a LOT of money]. Cars take time to build, they aren't made overnight, unless you're growing money trees in the backyard.
