I just received my new SLR; first one I've ever had. I was (and still am) at my school during the evening and decided to do a quick photoshoot of my own car.
The car was/is VERY dirty, but luckily the light didn't really show much of it except for the wheels. The sun was also almost down so lighting wasn't what I wanted it to be.
As far as exterior mods, it has stock sport sides, Nismo front, Volk GTS wheels, and is dropped on HKS Hipermax III's.
This is just a "test" photoshoot to test out my new equipment. Compliments & constructive criticism is welcomed!

I wish the GTS came in 20's, they're my favorite wheels of all time.
19's are simply too small for G coupes unless you have a CRAZY drop to make it look ok. The thick rear quarter panels of the coupe just seems to muscular and big swallowing up an inch of any wheel it seems.
buddy of mine has 20's on his coupe and on a regular basis people mistake his wheels for 19's, even 18's sometimes... and he's dropped 1.5 inches all around.

Not bad, Henry.
Looking forward to seeing what you can do with the 40D.

19's are perfect for me. I'm considering 18's for track time.Originally Posted by V35_Gcoupe

Thanks Kevin! I'm just using the nifty fifty for now. But I should be getting a good wide-zoom lens in a few weeks Originally Posted by xx7sephiroth7xx

Seems like you have a general idea of how to approach photos of a car. May I suggest using a color booster and or photoshop to really bring out the true colors. Also start playing with the white balance to compensate for for lighting. Enjoy your DSLR. I know i enjoy mine everyday!

I had a photography class in the past. In this "test" shoot, the light & shadows were my enemy. Originally Posted by xXHotelCrazyXx

I'll do a real photoshoot of my car when I get my Tamron 17-50mm, during sunset, & I after I detail my car.

I wish they were just a little bit more aggresive (10 front 11 rear with a slightly more aggresive offset). But I got a good deal and jumped on them.

You will soon find that not only lighting and shadows are your enemy, but so is owning a black car
Black is your biggest enemy of all!
