changed up the Straight Pipes on my sedan

so i recently had a set of straight pipes made for my sedan, and at first i loved how the car sounded, but as time passed, it seemed to get quieter and quieter and not as mean as i remembered.

so i decided to go and have my exhaust redone and run no resonators this time, and also decided to add new tips on, and now i think i have found the perfect exhaust setup for my sedan.

when the vehicle is cold, it is a little raspy, but once the exhaust is fully warmed up there is no rasp at all and sounds just amazing. the best part is, if i drive normally and do not open her up, shes no louder than an hks exhaust! there is completely no droning in the cabin at highway speeds. i just love how it sounds as it is super deep and not higher pitched.

heres a shot of the new tips

start up, idle and rev. the engine just warmed up so there was still a little rasp

WOT 2nd and 3rd

That sounds surprisingly good! Nice job. You live in cali right? Wont the cops bug you with to loud of exhaust? How do you pass emissions out there?

the car had just warmed up, so the exhaust wasnt up to temp yet, therefore there was still some rasp

every single car ive owned has had a loud exhaust, the loudest being my s2000 with a top secret full titanium catback with a j's racing test pipe. we actually measured the decibels on that car and it was over 130db! so im not too worried about the g as it is not the loudest. ive never been hassled by cops either. you just have to learn how to drive, and like i said with a light foot, the exhaust is super quiet. i would say that at WOT, it is not much louder than your longtube setup, yours might actually be louder. and for emissions, ive never had to smog any of my cars as i usually sold them before smog came up(new cars in CA have 6 years before you need smog).
