What lens are you using in your macro shots?

^^^You may not have been using a Macro lens, but these are macro style shots never the less.

You used a prime lens, which explains the results. Thank you

Great shots! I have a question if you dont mind, I know its a lot of work to take your photographs and I envy your work.

How do you get the photos to look so "smooth", the paint is glossy and the colors are vivid.

Is this the effects of your lens? Camera? Or is it post processing that gives you that effect?

Thanks and gorgeous work, you could make a Aztek look good!

Thanks for the kind words! Your guys' appreciation makes all the time and money (well, almost on the money part lol) spent well worth it!

The effects you are talking about are from using a circular polarizer. CPL's reduce the reflection on one part of the car (notice how the windshield is almost perfectly clear with no reflections of the sky, and the paint on the hood is smooth) while increasing reflections on the parts opposite (that's how the side of the car gets so shiny/glossy).

the colors are there to begin with, but i saturate them a bit in photoshop.
