drn4u gets new kicks on his g37 // PhotosByCalvin
Thanks for the kind words! Your guys' appreciation makes all the time and money (well, almost on the money part lol) spent well worth it!
The effects you are talking about are from using a circular polarizer. CPL's reduce the reflection on one part of the car (notice how the windshield is almost perfectly clear with no reflections of the sky, and the paint on the hood is smooth) while increasing reflections on the parts opposite (that's how the side of the car gets so shiny/glossy).
the colors are there to begin with, but i saturate them a bit in photoshop.

I took a quick look online about polarizing lens and thats exactly what it is. Excellent info.
it's not part of the lens. it's a filter you can buy
hvstar.net has the best prices! the website looks shady, but i assure you that is where everyone goes for their filters.

I ordered this "HOYA 58CIR 58mm Circular Polarized Filter" from some random amazon seller before I saw your post but it should suffice for my needs I hope. Thanks again for the tips!
Thats what I meant sorry... threw "lens" and "filter" around interchangeably (wrongly so of course)
