what kind of paint/dye is everyone using on the plastic pieces? i would like the parts to match the oem look (matte black) and i remember reading about dyes that soak into the plastic, but don't recall the name...are these pieces prone to chipping if not sanded/primed/etc if using paint instead?

I've used this not only on my door pulls, but also my center console and have absolutely no problems with scratching/chiping.

Any idea how to remove the center piece here? I took the switch out & and lights but cant remove that
