I can tell you that this costs more than rebuilding your trans, as I rebuilt mine about a year ago. If you want a manual as bad as I did, then this is a good choice for you.

CDN_G35 I will reply shortly

Figured I would post a little information the parts required for the swap. I sent this info another member a couple of weeks ago..

I'll give you a off-the-top-of-my-head parts list..

6MT Transmission
Clutch
Flywheel
Clutch line
OEM clutch hardline
OEM clutch fluid reservoir
6MT driveshaft (has to be from a G35, 350Z will not work)
6MT shifter
Throwout bearing
6MT wiring harness (my mechanic made my auto wiring harness work, so it will take some work if you or your mechanic knows what they are doing)
Clutch pedal assembly
Brake pedal assembly
Center console
Shifter trim
Center console sides (the sides of the radio)
A custom bracket was made to hold my clutch pedal more secure
A bolt we had to order from Nissan was used on the clutch pedal, I can't remember what it was called
Shift ****
Shift boot
You will need to cut a hole on the chassis where the shift enters the interior
Custom plate for this hole to block exhaust smell and water, etc.

You can keep your stock ECU, but you will have a code for the transmission. I will be blocking this code with UpRev hopefully, once I get my car back.

There will be some smaller items you will probably need, but this is basically it. I strongly urge you to contact my shop that did it if you are serious about getting it done. The parts will be $1500-2000 depending on if you can find used parts. I would go to www.slidegood.com to buy a lot of used parts, I got my driveshaft and other parts from there.

Ok I'm considering doing this, but I have read that the auto trans can handle a good amount of horse power itself, I do know a whole lot about cars but I wanted to either supercharge or turbocharge mine in the future, so would the auto trans hold yup to this power?

You can get away with low 300whp on the stock tranny but any higher and you'll need a valve body upgrade and a tranny cooler. My BUILT TRANNY failed at 340whp after a year and some of driving. This includes 4 track days and hard daily driving. I personally would never trust the auto boosted..it just is not strong at all. If you have the money for a 6MT swap I would definitely do it. It is like a whole new car.

Ok, so in your opinion would it be better to convert the transmission then add mods, or the other way around?

I would just do a 6MT swap now if you have the funds. If you are interested in contacting the shop that did my work send me a PM.
