Painted Plenum -pics

Me and two friends painted my ugly looking plenum today, came out nice, gonna go back over it a bit later.

Is there really a point in putting a grounding kit even though your car is so new? isnt a grounding kit just to normalize voltage or somthing? excuse me if I'm ignorant. I'm a newbie ;-D looks neat. though me personally I'd keep the plastic cover on.

Yes I like the plastic cover but hate taking it off for track days...Its a Heat Trap

I did not believe a grounding kit would do anything, however after reading countless praise from many people on this and other forums , I bought a custom kit off ebay for $50 shipped and in all honesty my cars shifting has improved (5AT) and the car just feels smoother.

The 1st time I drove the car post install of the wires, I came to a stoplight and the car dropped its idle so quick the engine kind of stumbled like it was going to cut out, tI think ECU was relearning the idle due to the cable giving it a better (cleaner)signal! and no I did not unplug my battery during install.

Now the car idles smoother and about 100 rpm less. Best $50 I spent on the car. I did not believe it would work but now I believe and why I just typed so much

nice, thanks for the info. I think I'll do some research on the grounding wires now too. Though I have 6mt...

yea 6mts dont feel much of a difference from what I have read
