No the sides are not molded. They were just blended up the body with soft urethane so it is a little cleaner looking (gives the appearance of being molded) but will flex if I hit anything. They are just as easy to take off if I need to go back to stock. I also have a stock rear and front if I ever need to go back.

As for the painting on the body...they painted the parts off the car. They only did the molding work on the car.
