Worlds First Manual Swap Q60

Surprised no one is talking about this. They are turning it into a package, makes this car much more attractive than it already is.

since i own my Q, this im interested in later down the line. the 7AT is killing me. i like the old 5AT from my G35X better. Infiniti should have developed a BETTER auto for the Q50s, especially when the VR30DDTT motor came standard. A dual clutch woulda been dope but i understand cost.

this manual with the VR motor would be fun to drive.

Probably not an easy change but if it's possible then do it with a local shop .

Sounds like the ECU is going to be the determining factor for the manual swap to work correctly. The ECU was built around an automatic TCU using load tables, the manual doesn't normally use that. I think they should just build up the 7AT. They already talked about it on project Raijin / EAU Rouge, they plan on a Q50 with a VR38TT and 7AT from the truck/suv's. Basically what I'm doing with the older 5AT trannys. They have already built them tough enough for the 6,000 pound monster Infiniti trucks and suv's they just have to change the drive shaft or shafts (AWD) to make it work. You have to think the transmissions weren't just built to pull a 6,000 pound turck but also have 8500 LB towing capability. The car trannys are just wimpy versions of them. I do understand why a lot of people dog the AT cars, they have a horrible glide in the shift to make it luxury and comfortable which is bad for the tranny and for the driver. But it's not a big deal to spice them up so they shift harder.
