Great fix and worked to a tee, but foes this trick also affect the factory alarm by chance? My alarm has been randomly going off ever since this fix.

Even stranger is when I plug the key into the ignition to try and turn it off, it does nothing but honk.

I can drive away with the car alarm still going off.

I had a local shop clear the code after I hit my washer and moved the washer about an inch from impact. No scratches/dents on the car but the light came back flashing 5 days later any comments on what to do next? The guy ran the code as rear passenger module.

This worked like a charm for me for my 03 Sedan. At first I was skeptical for the "Wait till it blinks of then turn it off ( and repeat)", but now the light is gone. Thanks!

I have been trying to fix the air bag warning light for years. The reset works fine saves me a trip to the repair shop. I still have a niggling feeling that we have fixed the symptom not the cause.
Thanks for the tip, at least that distracting flashing light is out of my face.

Cheers

To reset the light simply turn the iginition to the on position, (you dont need to start it). All the lights should stay on for thier diagnostic check. As soon as the airbag light goes off, before it starts flashing, immeditatly turn the car off. Repeat this 3 or 4 times (turning to on then off) and the light should go away
Tried the first method failed. The second method works like charm.

Omg, this worked perfectly. I changed cabin air filter and then the bag icon flashed nonstop. Was worried I messed up a wire or something. Glad you guys are on here.

I have 2005 G35x and this tip has been helpful. Only problem is the light kept coming back for me after a few days.

Took it to a local mechanic and he read the code and said it was a front right door module fault. Unfortunately he couldn't do anything about it. Called a dealer to see and they told me if I go in and decide not to do any work that theres a 190$ fee just to be able to leave the place! Crazy. So I think I'll keep resetting the light for now since its not a front air bag problem.

The light came back every day. I disconnected the airbag connector under the driver seat, sprayed WD40, connected back, and zip-tied the connector. It solved the issue.
