Diy Tools
I do most of the work on my car. I don't know the proper sizing and names of each tool that i use though. I thought it would be a great idea for people to post what tools they recommend for working on the G.. Like what you should have in your toolbox for the DIYer.
I use a ratchet .. all i know it's craftsman?

You for sure need a good set ratchet/sockets ansi/mm and various screw drivers. I would also recoment ratchet wrenches for some projects.
I could go on and on but my tool collections 10k deep so the more you have the easier / more specialized you can get

A decent set of 1/4" and 3/8" drive metric sockets and some combination wrenches. A ratcheting screw driver is a must as is a torque wrench. Most people build their tool boxes over time so don't feel like you need to get a 500 pc set overnight.
Get a Snap-On account. $10 a week for the rest of your life!!!
seriously though......1/4" metric socket set, 3/8 metric socket set in both deep and shallow, lots of extensions, wobbles, and universal joints for your sockets......a nice inch-pound torque wrench, maybe a ft-lb torque wrench.
A small potbelly compressor and a cheap set of air tools will go a long way too. Having a 1/2 inch impact gun is almost a necessity for working on the suspension.

I always use the stands.
A good breaker bar is a good thing to have.
I just got this small Snap-on screw gun. It's tiny and has a dual trigger for fwd/rev. It works great for stuff like taking the under pan off and little jobs.
As for the small A/C and cheap air tools, I have an issue with that. I got that craftsman cheap air tools kit and the impact gun says 350ft/lbs. It won't even take off my wheels! I got a 3/8" hose and have a decent small compressor but the gun is crap. It wouldn't do anything on my suspension.
