stain above ashtray from previous owner - smoker

I have this yellowish haze on the brushed aluminum right directly above my ashtray and below the radio. Its ugly looking and I dont know what I should use to clean it. Any tips?

I'd say just buy a new trim piece from eBay.

Hey, i took mine to the dealer and they replaced it. Dude said the factory knows this and its a onetime thing that they will replace for free. no matter what you do it will not come off have to replace!

Good point. I just called my dealer and they said they want to see it to determine if they will replace it under warranty. Thanks for the tip!

It's a defect in the glue/clearcoat on the trim. I do not smoke and had to replace this trim under warranty.

If the dealer doesn't replace it, don't feel so bad. The replacement trim the dealer installed turned just as yellow within a year. So obviously they did not fix the issue with updated parts.

The parts aren't cheap last time i checked either.
