Salvage cars once rebuilt are issued a rebuilt title. Rebuilt title cars have lost much of the negative connotation due to insurance companies releasing almost every non repaired car with one.

Used to be if a car had a salvage title it had extreme damage.

Not anymore, I recently purchased a Cadillac with 30k miles in perfect condition with a salvage title. I had to replace the window switch due to an internal short that grounded the cars internal network and literally nothing worked except for the lights. Replaced window switch $75 from gm and everything came to life. So of you say my car is not as good of a car since the window switch had been replaced then that is your opinion. Every car should be inspected before purchasing and no two used cars are equal. Some are better, some are worse regardless what the title says.

^^^^ +1 on what Chadster said! some cars get salvage title with barely any damage at all sometimes.

Sometimes you get lucky sometimes others don't I would never recommend buying a rebuilt or salvage titled car unless you know exactly what was damaged and repaired or what is still damaged or the difference in price is worth the risk to you

Hey,

I bought a salvaged g35 in 2009 with 15K on it. Beautiful beauty with lots of after market and love put into it. But OF COURSE just recently things are starting to fall apart. Running taillights won't come on, stereo ONLY works every so often. Was wondering if you had any advice and if fixing exceeds the actual value for me, would you be willing to buy?? ))

OR... you can pull it & bondo it but it will look like sheit & most likely not drive like it supposed to

FYI Ive have repaired & sold 5 salvage G's since 05 & even my current personal G35 coupe was salvaged wen i bought it ....but i wouldnt buy this one except for parts
