Stillen CAI + z-tube > altitude performance loss.
Initially dissapointed by the performance loss up here at 4,300 to 6,300 ft elevation on my daily commute over the continental divide into Silver City, New Mexico,,,,after having test driven and purchased my '06 AT coupe in Phoenix,,,,where the power was impressive,,,,,I found this forum,,,,,,did a lot of SEARCHES,,,,,posted a couple of threads,,,,,,,And decided to try the Stillen Airbox with a z-tube.
The air is thin up here, so more of it seemed like a good idea. Results are in! It Worked! And the sound is intoxicating. I can't wait to see what it is like down in Arizona. Phoenix is only 1,000 ft. which is why it is so bloody hot down there.
My early conclusion is that it totally compensated for the loss in performance due to the increased elevation.

Good stuff . . . I haven't gotten around to it, yet. However, at some point I would like to install a popcharger cone filter in the Stillen housing in lieu of the K&N. The popcharger cone has a much larger surface area.
The Stillen airbox comes with a K&N Cone filter mounted on a really cool aluminum bell. It utilizes the stock scoops and intakes and is open toward the front left fender...I used the OEM Z-tube,,,but I think I would have used one of the aluminum ones if I did it again...
