Z1 Motorsports clutch & ultra light flywheel

Just got my car back from Z1 after they installed their new clutch and ultra light weight flywheel package. The car drives great, the pedal feel is the same, if not lighter then the stock clutch. The stock flywheel is around 33 lbs, the ultra light weight is around 13 lbs.

The car showed a gain of 23 hp and 20 ft/lbs of torque at the wheels. I can smoke the tires in 2nd gear now and chirp them in 3rd. Throttle response feels alot quicker and the engaugment feels like its straight out of a race car.

I got the first one that they have recieved but they say that they will have more available in about 30 days. They said that they will have some info on the website in the next couple of days or you can call John at Z1 Motorsports.

I will be posting dyno charts in the next couple of days, but this is a great improvement and I strongly urge everyone to check this out.
Brian

We are hoping to be able to offer our clutch and flywheel combo for around $750. It will be available in just a few weeks.

How long does it take a professional to install a kit like this?

It only took Z1 about a day and a half to do my swap, but that was with dyno testing and some road testing.

Its not real hp gains, the ultra light weight flywheel gets rid of soooo much unsprung weight that it frees up more power out of the motor.

How do you dyno a brand new clutch under load without breaking it in?

The only time there i any chatter is in first gear at a low rpm start. But even the stock clutch would do that some time.

Thats a good question.

Do you have dyno's before and after the install? I'd like to see the difference it made.

does it work with twinturbo. I mean, can it handle HI power.
Casue i don't want to buy one, then take it off when i go TT.
I'm also interested on Z1 build VQ motor, have you guys done any test on it. If so, how good can it handle.
