sxexcx's Custom Grounding Wires // Review //

Review:
First impressions: I ordered my kit and it was shipped to Virginia. (Thanks for deciding to ship now!) When i opened the box i was pleasantly surprised. The wires looked awesome. Very clean. Sean mentions that he includes instructions... that's an understatement. The guide that he includes is so detailed it makes it look so simple.
Installation: I got off to a great start, followed the instructions to the T and had no issues. I came to an issue where you needed to mount #2,3,4 bolts on that mount (I think there's another cable to mount, can't remember at the moment). The bolt that keeps that mount in wasn't long enough to allow me to screw it back in because of all of the cables under it. So i used the same length bolt that is in the top of the engine mount. (if you do this, be careful, if you tighten it too much, you'll break the top off the bolt because there's nothing left to thread it in... ask me how i know -_-). After this everything else was smooth... up until i had to do the AT cable. Good lord what a pain in the *** that was. I was at my friends house, and my good jack was at my house. So i had to use the provided jack for changing my tires. I had a HELL of a time finding that stupid bolt with the tag on it. It seriously took me an hour and a half of wiggling around down there to find it. I finally got it on, but i couldn't get the tag back on (I was losing sun and needed to wrap things up) so i just screwed it back in without the tag. It was really difficult moving your arms around, i had to do most of it with one hand.
The above is mainly user error and my experience. That's just for people who tackle this themselves, the issues that could arise for them.
After installation Impressions: The wires are PERFECT lengths. I actually didn't think the AT cable would reach. but if you follow seans instructions on pulling the cable back and to the side of the cats then it reaches PERFECTLY.
Initial Performance: I haven't reset my ECU yet, but already i can tell the car shifts smoother. In auto mode it shifts like butter, the 1-2 and 2-3 "jerk" is virtually gone. I was really surprised. I only used the trip tonic mode once so far, but it shifts MUCH better. (Now i want to get the paddle shift mod ) I haven't noticed my headlights brighter.. or my stereo hitting harder.. but to me, the transmission gain was worth it alone. I'm not sure what else to expect, but i'll add them as i see them!
Suggestions: The only thing i can really suggest is to mention about that bolt with the 2,3,4 wires on it. I don't know if my bolt had been replaced with a shorter one.. or what, but no matter what i did, i couldn't get it to fit. So if this is a common thing, maybe putting that in the instructions, or supplying a little bit longer of a bolt?
I'd also suggest a picture of the outside of the car to get to the AT point under the car (to show you where to slide under so when you slide there, you're dead right under the bolt) and to try to get a zoomed out picture of the bolt so we can see the surrounding area to match it up. I was having a hell of a time trying to figure out the picture.
But maybe that's just me?
Again, so far i'm giving sean a 10/10 on gains and quality for the money!
thanks sean!

I just received and installed my grounding kit from Sean. Shipping was fairly quick and the cables are quality. Everything you need is included with easy to follow instructions with pictures.
Installation was easy. Basically unscrew bolts, thread the wire on the bolt and screw it back on. Most time consuming part was jacking up the car and finding bolt on the transmission to ground the AT wire. When I reread the instructions now, it seems easy. My selective reading missed 'black' transmission box in the inscructions. I wasn't expecting for it to be towards the middle of the car so I spend about 30 mins from jacking the car up to screwing the bolt under the car in. There could of been another pic of the general area of underneath the car so you know visually where to look, probably suggested before but other than that it was a great write up.
I only used 2 of the 6 included zip ties since I use my engine bay cover and the cables are barely noticeable (I got black btw).
I reset the ECU right away and took her out for a spin. Only thing I checked for improvements was throttle response which definately felt smoother. May be a placebo effect but shifting in D mode was quicker and manual mode had less lag and jerk when shifting. Didnt notice any difference in idleing when warm. Car feels brand new and im gonna be driving in manual mode a lot more cause of this kit.
Worth the buy from Sean since its all quality.
