Hey guys,
Finally had some time to review Sean's custom grounding kit that I got for my v36 sedan.
It's been a few months that I have had it installed (3 months)... First off I'd like to say that the installation was very simple and Sean helped me out the whole time even with the holidays (Thank you Sean) much appreciated. The Installation was very easy and didn't take more then 45 minutes. I reset the ecu (pedal process) and went for a test drive and noticed more of a responsive feel in the lower rpm's. However I did not connect one of the wires to the tranny mainly because I didn't feel the need to do so, but yet I still felt a slight bit more quicker shifts. Another way that it helped is with the bose system. I had a loaner and listened to my music with my iphone and the same day later on I noticed how much louder my system was, compared to the brand new loaner with the same bose system. I personally think it's a worthwhile mod and you could have fun doing it. I will take a pic of the setup once I get the car detailed.

Bored so i decided to write a review. Recently drove all the way to sean's place and had him install a kit for my 5AT after reading all these positive reviews. After driving for about 1k miles now, i have felt no difference in anything in all. Had my friend who also owns a 5AT take it for a spin and also said there was no difference in anything. Throttle response same as always, tiptronic still lags, bose sound system sounds the same, etc. Kind of disappointed how i spent so much money on something that made no difference to my car..

To be honest I felt the same way on my 07 AT coupe when I first got the kit. I was dissapointed too. But after a few more resets of my ECU the grounding kit really kicked in now I love how my car shifts. Just give it a few more days it i'll kick and all those things u mentioned will improve.

As I have a 6mt I wouldn't be able to experience the benefits this kit may have on shifting so I cannot comment on that, however... I am running a fairly powerful POLK MOMO sound system and this kit has definitely improved the overall volt readings in my car. I also noticed my power windows responding a smidge quicker after the install. A good grounding system is an important piece for the electronics in your ride. Especially if you end up upgrading your ignition system or other electrical components. I hope this feedback helps give you a little more piece of mind on your purchase.
