I have always been using Med/Med and I loved it..
yet I do notice that my car tends to understeer at the trxxk
but imagine if I run staggered, I would then really need to set it
to Soft/Med

 

I just installed these and I have to tell you the install was HELL. I have an 03 that I just purchased this year and the person before me winter drove the car so most of the blots/nuts were pretty much rusted on.

Alot of swearing, knuckle smashing, penetrating lube, and some patience got the job done. When I went to install the rear, I found a broken End Link on the Left which is prolly the reason I found the car a bit squirely in corners.

Called Inifinti bought 2 rear replacements, again couldn't get the nuts off from the endlink mount, pulled off the mount with endlinks still attached, cut the bolts off with my dremel. If I didnt by new endlinks I pretty much would have been ****ed, but I feel better know they are new now anyways.

Set to Med/Med, and it feels like a different car with a bit of oversteer on the street. I am going to the track in 2 weeks so I will test this setup there.

Prolly one of the best mods for the car.

 

Did you buy the end links for the '05+? I've heard that they new endlinks are 'beefier' than the '03-'04, and will last longer. Are they noticeably thicker? How much for the pair?

Ya I did, they are different from the ones I had on the car. The do look beefier and I was impressed with the quality over the old ones. They cost me about 70 bucks Canadian. I was surprised they had them...

 

Quick question when I am installing these bars - When it says the holes "Farthest" away are for soft, what does that mean? Does it mean the holes farthest away from the main bar shaft?

I have these bars sitting in my garage, begging to be installed.. and I just can't figure out if its worth it for me. So most of the time I pretty much drive like a grandma on the highway. I do like to come off going pretty fast (to save gas) so I'll be heading into say a 25mph turn at like 50 or 60

I definetly don't want to sacrifice any ride comfort on my 05 6mt sedan... so If I get these bars installed, what are all the negatives which they will bring with them? Ride comfort decrease? Unusual wear on other components?

 

eugene, i didn't notice any decrease in ride quality... the sways are definitely worth it. i love mine. they reduce the body roll inherent in the sedan when turning. i have mine on soft/med settings.

there will be a little more wear on the endlinks the bars attach to since the bars don't flex as much, but i don't think it's anything significant. look for some posts by q45tech on sways... he's very technically knowledgable about them

 

Ride quality is about the same, but more body motion when going over uneven pavement. Traction accelerating hard out of corners is a bit less. End-links can wear faster, but the new '05 End-links are beefier than the old ones, so it shouldn't be as much a problem.

 

^+1 on the ride quality and the body motion. Body motion is significantly more. Car is more planted and corners flatter. Haven't changed end links yet. Very worthwhile mod.

 

Is there a way to install the rears without removing the midpipe and unbolting the exhaust?

 

Why? Is it because outside wheel is lifted also? Thanks

I'd like to find a rear bar only, but I don't think anyone is selling them that way anymore.

 

Yeah...at the very beginning of the sway bar summary thread, the company 350EVO was mentioned to have sold them separately. Per Q45Tech's suggestion, I want to get only the rear bar, but I couldn't find them for sale on 350evo.com.

anyone know where we might be able to find just the rear bar?
