Rogue Eng. Short ShifterSHOULD BE NO OTHER
Rogue Eng. Short ShifterSHOULD BE NO OTHER
I just wanted to say that this shifter is PERFECT!!! Rogue does alot of BMW tuning and being a previous BMW owner, I founded these guys. I drove a G35 with a B&M shifter and I can honestly say that there is a difference in quality. You can feel it when shifting and engaging. I'm wondering why the Infiniti crowd does not go more with Rogue than B&M. Even the reverse function is smoother than B&M's. Overall Rogue makes quality and durable products and they are a proven company. Just my kudos to them and thanks Ben!!! definitely give them a buzz if you are interested in a shifter...great people!!!
I considered adding a short throw shifter, but there have been many posts complaining of rattling and noise from all of these shifters. I will live with the stock shifter until I hear of a replacement short throw shifter that doesn't rattle.
Does this shifter rattle, is it smooth ( ie. shifting 1-2, 2-3 esp. when cold). Aside from the shortened throw, what exactly is the difference?

It does look like a nice piece. Maybe a user will give impressions on rattles/vibrations, shifter engagement, etc.

I got my Rogue ss through a group buy also. Love it. Seemed to all but cure the issue I had with 1st to 2nd gear shifting. Maybe its just me though. I do notice a bit of a vibration consistently at around 3400rpm but its not enough to be a problem. Great product.
I live in Northern Jersey, so RogueEng. is right by me....to answer the question of rattling..that is one of my number one complaints about our car, the stock shifter comes with short throws already and is very smooth. Rogue's Shortshifter reduces the rattling and vibration in the stick about 40%, that is the honest truth!!! You can still feel the vibrating in the shifter, but no where near as the stock one...also the throws for each gear are reduced, not by alot, but noticable, about 20-30%....price is 170 for the shifter, or maybe 179, but it is very much worth it...call Rogue and talk to anyone of those guys...they are very cool people...if you guys can get a few people together, im sure Ben can give a good price on a group buy, maybe 150-160(im just guessing) but Ben is the guy you want to talk to....they are a BMW tuning company, and the reason why they do the 350/G35 shifters, is that they look almost identical, so manufacturing them was very easy for them...anyways, you can't go wrong, shorter shifting, less vibrating and will never wear down like the stock shifter...it is always a smooth and firm shift...

Thanks guys. I thought I was done with ordering parts at least until I got my G.
