That is a nice deep growl.

Very nice sound. Now, the million dollar question. Having the Stillen exhaust on my Alti, I can tell you guys that drone comes into play here. I'm guessing the drone on the car above is significant. That's where the trade off occurs.

Wow...the hks sounds really throaty and nice. Is that just the muffler? Totally different feel from the coupe's sound (although I think I still like the coupe's a little more) but overall it's neat! Then when I go back to the original clip (pre z-tube...that sounds so weak)

Regarding drone...not sure why some people hate it...I love it. That drone noise at around 1500 to 2000 rpm...is my favorite.

Andycon, does the exhaust gets noisy when you drive it at night?

Thank you very much for the sound files. Really appreciate your efforts. The HKS rear sounds mean. I like it.

I am however a bit concerned about the drone. I want to get a rear section and not pickup a drone along with it.

So far, ive heard the Stillen and HKS now have drones. The only one that supposedly does not have a drone is the Nismo rear section (WELDINA REAR MUFFLER).

I'm ready to pull the trigger but what I end up with is still undecided.

Thanks for all the clips I have them all saved on my computer. Even from the inside it sounds really nice but I don't know if it would annoy passengers (I mean, it's my car but at the same time...if I have elderly passengers, they might get annoy by it), but overall...it's really nice!!!

Andycon, you da man!
Are you sure you dont work for HKS?
The rear section sounds totally mean. Very aggressive at WOT which is what I am looking for.

I use my car as my commutter and thats why I want to stay as far away from a drone as possible. I am still leaning towards getting the HKS. I'm gun shy like that

Im going to give it a few days (of listening to your sound bites) then go for something....probably the HKS.

I will let you know what I end up with.

Hmmm....well I have the coupe middy and a K&N drop in so when I get the HKS rear maybe I can be a distant cousin that you see once a year...you know the one that asks you for $5 bucks and some beer to go
