Is it roughly the same process to wrap everything in leather?

I'm not gonna get into a big discussion about it because it seems that some of the potential problems didn't come up in your case if the dog is currently healthy, but its basically cosmetic surgery that is very painful for the animal and puts them at extreme risks for infections, and other health issues that can be caused by the surgery. It serves absolutely no purpose to perform except to make the owner feel special for whatever reason.

I can dig your opinion. there's people who's all for it, then there's people who are not. That's like English Bulldog owners half of them dock the tail. Half of them don't.

its kinda like declawing an animal, its all because of the owner's taste and desire to change the animal. which is part of the reason why that is illegal in a lot of places. It is considered a form of mutilation, its just still an accepted form for right now. eventually i see it being illegal as well. But if your pup is healthy, and didn't go through any stress or pain over it, then no harm no foul.
