Yeah it's coming from the top of the strut, I'm thinking that it has to do with the connection between the frame and strut. Or maybe the top strut nut is riding/knocking on metal...any chance of this?

if Grant can chime in (gdup35sedan) i had a very similar issue and i thought my strut bolt wasnt tight enough (front driver side). it would happen on the smallest bumps too. Grant looked at the endlinks and he didnt see anything wrong with them. i took it to the dealership, they inspected it and determined the issue was the driver side endlink, but both were replaced.

now the endlinks have more pressure on them since you are dropped too. and thats when noises always tend to come up

prob just best to take it to LA auto explosion, i heard they do amazing work and are around 300 bucks. but 600 seems steep. just a repaint should be like 450

Budget Nurburgring project begins. Some parts came in.

Should have bought coils instead, but I can't ride low here in Italy and most coils that I was interested in come with a drop at it's highest setting. I can barely get around a z-springs. These struts should match well OEM revised springs.

Next mod: Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

So i fixed my struts today. the popping noise was caused by missing paper/rubber gasket thingys on top of my struts. the ones i got didn't have any so i didn't think they were necessary but then i got the popping/creaking noise. so i stole the ones off my old oem struts and put them on BOOM problem solved
thanks for all the help dudes
