i've never thought those optimas are worth the money, you are better off getting a $50 from autozone

Autozone is the best bet.But if you want the Rolls Royce of batteries. buy an "Odyssey".They make batteries for the military.I have one in my waverunner, life expectancy is 10 yrs.

yup for stereo stuff. On my other cars the amplifier drained the battery completely.
Autozone 50 $ lol . odyssey more money.... Ive seen around people selling the d34 for 150$ but I was told the that you need to extend battery cables with the d34 battery.

laugh it up bro,

go over to my350z (where the real knowledge is) and you'll see most are running regular cheap batteries

im sure if 600rwhp Zs and Gs (also w/ sound systems) can rock cheap autozone batteries w/out a problem, then i sure you can too

go ahead and spend 150-200 for a battery and when its dead in a year, we'll see who is still laughing

i ran 1300 rms on my reg battery for a wile... i changed it thinking it would make a diffrence.. its the same **** as before with my new 2400 amp battery..... when i leave the bass up for long my lights dims slightly. Get a good ground kit first.

no capcitors are really useless.... i mean if your alternator cant provide the current the capacitor wont make it for you... most really heavy setups have extra batteries and a rebuilt alternator.... since i wont blast it 100% for more then 20 minutes unless i am on a raod trip were my car its making good power (since its at 3-4K rpms) my battery makes up for the slack. At least i haven't had any problems and i have been running like this for a little over a year.

I disagree with you on the cap The cap with keep the voltage from bottoming out. However I havent heard it recommended anywhere to run a yellow top as a sole battery source. Danny has a blue top for sale ask him about it. later mike

yeah they provide stability and protection from spikes and drops... but these cars are new they have decent power... and for what he wants it wont help him anyway a cap is not a power source.
