Looking for someone to help my mother-n-law with her brakes, Ft.Laud
So I typically service my car, my fiance's and up until recently her mother's car. I last did brakes on her car two years or so ago. She recently performed an emergency brake slamming to avoid a car from hitting her. Since then, she has been experiencing a noise. She said braking feels the same as before, but its just noisier.
She recently took it to a local PepBoys who said plainly that she needs 4-new rotors only due to the rust condition of them and that it wold be $500 in parts and labor...seems rediculous to me.
With me being in Maryland and her not knowing enough about cars to convey the right information, I have no clue what condition her brakes are really in. So I thought I would ask for a favor from a local G-owner to help her out and check them out for her and possibly send her to a more reputable shop for the service or if you are handy perform the work for her at a friendly fee.
She lives right next to an autozone, so I would more than likely internet order the parts for her to pick up and then all she would have to do is get the work done by someone I/she can trust.
She drives a 2005 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. PM me or post if you have some suggestions or think you can help her out. She lives in the Fort Lauderdale area off of the university/riverside intersection.
Thanks in advance guys, I could really use the help.
