Does $501/mo sound right to you? (NV)

My first post, don't have a G yet, but am getting ready for it. Interested in a short lease for an '06 AT Sedan. The local stealership (Las Vegas, NV) has a few at $38k MSRP (-$5k if you buy it, but not applicable to leases). THe latest offer:

0 down
$478 ($501 after taxes)/mo
39 months
some initial fees of around $1200, which includes the first month payment.
Residual $22k

I guess I don't understand how the money works, but my lame math brings the grand total with residual to about $44k, well over the MSRP after taxes. Is that the price you pay for leasing?

I got mine from Towbin for $450/month w/ 4000 down. Doesn't sound like that bad of a deal to me, but its up to you.

My OTD price was $36k even

After another 3 1/2 hours at the dealer last night, got an '06. Premium pkg C, trunk mat, and NAV for $0 down, $500/mo 39 mos. lease. It kinda hurt getting the '06, especially with a dozen '07s in plain view

Congrats but it does suck that you were looking at the new body in front of you. What kind of money would you have been looking at if you gto an 07?

The base 'Journey' model was $33k and change. The 'Sport' models were a 2-3K more. The monthly would've been mid 6's from what i was told.

They were all shiny and pretty
