Trunk lid

That's why the handle has an icon of the trunk OPEN.
I don't know about you but I'm not planning to fall into the trunk any time soon. I can barely fit golf clubs back there. Me -- no way.

Yeah, it's kind of in a stupid place, and requires a sort of unnatural motion with your arm to close it. Kind of like curling the trunk towards your face. I never noticed it until Garnet mentioned it in a post. They really should have designed it so that the finger hole is horizontal (rather than vertical) to the ground when the trunk is open like nearly every other trunk.

i have the SAME ISSUE .. looks exactly like your picture.. mine is more obvious because my car is IP. . i thought it was my subs causing excessive vibration which caused the trunk to do that.. but I GUESS NOT! ...
hopefully they do something about it.. right now.. i have rubber weather strips that run along that line so that they don't touch..

Yep that's what I'm getting but not as long as yours. Mines mostly at the edges. I even use the handle on the inside the lid, but in the end I still have to push down on top of the lide sometimes to get it to lock. When I use the handle I still need to put force on it as well. My little beef with the handle is why didn't they make one on the left side, but only the right? I'm a lefty so that's why I'm complaining.

From what I can tell, it is caused when the trunk is closed probably from having to push it down hard so it locks. I'm just curious if it's just my car or have others experienced this and do you think the dealer be willing to fix and repaint the scratched areas. Sorry I don't have a picture to post will try to get one up. This has been bothering me because I feel like I've been damaging my car all this time without even realizing it.

You have to be careful that you don't go too far as you may end up with rattles. As for the scratches, I don't know what is causing those, I haven't seen them on my car.
