hey im runnin a nexus 7 too! kinda dim for a car install tho. i just bought a 90 degree usb cable for mine. if you have the room, try an LG Gpad 8.3. its super bright, and you can turn the screen on/off by tapping it twice.

today my battery finally went flat. after searching and failing to find a decent and reasonably priced reverse terminal batteries I said SCREW IT and shoved a regular group 24 battery in it! all I had to do was move the grommet for the positive wire and used my 0 gauge ground wire since the oem wouldnt reach the mount. so nice to have a regular battery in it. at 800 CCA I've never heard the starter spin so fast!

im running timurs kernel so it will auto sleep the tablet when power is disconnected and turn back on when power is reconnected. im fitting it into the housing of the oem navi and it barely fits so i literally cannot run a 90 degree usb. there is no room around the perimeter of the unit after it is mounted in the housing

only thing with tasker is it is still keeping things awake to listen for car on. whats cool about timurs is it is a deep sleep and will conserve battery much longer

well im running secure settings and a root on my lg tablet. it lowers cpu usage when not needed. ive had my car parked under a cover for a week and the tablet still had 20% left on it from just idling. now both thr tablets need batteries so they use more power than they take in from the chargers. need to find some new batteries for them. my lg lasted way longer last year

Got my wheels on. And put in a 350z transmission mount bolt, yeah just the bolt but its weighted. I have and exedy stage 2 clutch and Exedy flywheel witha Z1 trans mount. Really cut out a lot of vibration and noise. Also got my Bride euroster in! Boost leak found motor and car is running delicious.

if it is hot there and you park your car outside often it will kill your batteries. thats why you should look into the no battery mod

Can you give more details on the 350z Trans mount bolt? Have a PN, where did you buy? I have a poly Trans mount as well. I found the torque influences vibes as well.

hmm. i wonder if it would work for my lg tablet too. my nexus is old too. my lg is my main tablet. has my media nav, and Verizon 4g data connection. the nexus was supposed to be a BT obd2 reader, but i later found out bt obd2 readers suck in our cars so i just been using it as a gps speedometer lol.

Installed a few parts this past week

(Polished Motordyne Spacer, Upper and Lower Plenum, EvoR Titanium Harness Cover and Discontinued UTR Titanium Diversion Panel)

Decided to go with a Titanium theme for the engine bay
