I wanted to generally add that I don't understand the leaving the shroud chrome, paint matching it, or painting it any other bright color. Why would u want it to stand out. I kno its a popular way of modding the lights but **** I jus don't see how having it stand out like gold fish eyes looks good to people . I jus do all gloss blk that looks the best imo

Welcome to heat soak and possible loss of power. They do sound pretty good though, I'll give you that.

If you're looking for a cool look and better sound, congratulations you got it. If you are hoping to add more HP then you just wasted your money.........

Looks good, I gotta say. I'm still on the factory air intake right now. Just fab up a heat shield. You got a pic of the headlights from the front. Which side markers did you order. They look better than a lot I've seen.

I think if he fabbed up a heatshield it would be ok. I cant stand the look of the G35 factory intake with the piece that comes out over the middle under the hood. Its just really awkward. But because of heat soak I'm still factory right now. I would love to install a true 350z airbox and front holes but haven't seen much info on it. I want to see pics of someone else doing it. Back in my Mustang days we found out in the mid 2000's that a huge bend going down in the fenderwell (normal ram air setups) or wherever was bad creating turbulence. The less bends the better. Plus I had a buddy with a true CAI/Ram Air Intake run through a deep water puddle in a flood years back and hydro locked the motor. I was right behind him and running a straight through design. It was a newly built 01 Cobra motor. It just cut off and that was it. No stutter, an expensive bill.

I installed my Evap Purge Solenoid Valve the other day. I broke off the nipple on mine changing out hoses. Ordered one from a 350z and what was suprising is the 350z Evap Purge Valve is about 25% smaller than the G version. Plug and shape is the same. The mounting bracket allows for a better concealed fitment over the G evap bracket. So mine is installed on a lower point on the back of the Intake Plenum hidden close to the AT dipstick. I wished there was a way to cleanup the passenger side above the valve cover better. Just a lot going on there including that squiggley brake booster hose.

Ordered a few things for when I have time.

3rd Brake light pulser - When first hitting the brakes the 3rd brake light flashes 4 times and in touch and go traffic its not annoying. The pulser takes 15 seconds to reset again. Maker is Dyna Flash. Just a module with 2 wires in and 2 wires out. As simple as it gets without plug and play.

Still trying to figure out painting or wrapping the chrome door trim. Mine is dented all to hell on all 3 pieces on the drivers side. So it either needs to be replaced which is around $250 for 3 pieces or body filler to fix the dents than painted. I can't find any info on removing the chrome door trim. I just want to know if its reusable after I pull it off. The manual looks like there is a screw coming from the inside but can't tell if its some type of rivet or not. Looks like not to many people have removed the chrome door trim from searches on here and google.

I plan to paint door handles, chrome trim, wrap factory pillar in gloss black with the roof too. Add a wind deflector for sunroof and a rear windshield spoiler if I can find a decent priced one.

I still have a lot of projects going on with the car. The visible stuff is what bothers me. I have a car OCD and if its not perfect it bothers me all to hell.

I'm also going to do a full sound treatment to the G, doors first. Butyl Rubber, 1/8 CCF, and 1/8 MLV, than a thinner CCF on the door card. All 4 doors, later will be the rest of the car.

Hey I'm looking into getting a new bumper and was wondering was there any bumpers that didn't need a ton of modifications to make it fit?

I installed a ram air intake

Just Picked up this ram air intake on amazon to see if it was any good and very happy with the results. Sounds very satisfying. When I finish my winter mods ill do a full write up. (ready for incoming hate about how intakes don't do anything)

if anyone knows anywhere I can get a replacement radiator cooling plate or cover or whatever the F**k its called I need one. my car was raped by a deer not too far back and it cracked.

here's the link for the intake if anyone is interested (v36 version) DC sports SRI
