I've had to take a little break from working on it, had to finish up my classes for summer semester and do some stuff around the house. I can start putting in some more car work on the weekends now.

I grabbed some used coils, suspension parts, and radio stuff over the past few weeks. Also got some LEDs from diodedynamics and a LS1 AC compressor and bracket. Still need to get brakes, wheels, clutch/flywheel, alternator, and power steering pump. This week I'm gonna try to finish cleaning and painting the engine bay and maybe drop in the motor next weekend.

Cheap Amazon press has been able to push out all but two suspension bushings so far

New steering U-joint on. The engine bay is about 90% prepped and painted. Just waiting on the Monster clutch to get here so I can drop in the motor.
My junk pile is slowly getting bigger
Not a whole lot of interesting work done this weekend. Mainly just taking more stuff apart to get ready for new poly bushings, new seals, and new bearings. A Monster stage 2 clutch has been ordered. Once it gets here I'll attach the transmission to the engine and try to get them in place. I still need brakes, wheels, accessories for the LS1, rear bushings and camber arms, and some fuel components. Trying to finish before the winter months get here. More next weekend.

Very nice. Consider doing the diff too while you have easy access.

Thanks for the inspiration Urbanengineer. Your first pic is how I hope to see mine soon. I will definitely do the diff bushings and I'm considering doing the subframe as well. I had solid subframe and diff bushings in my 240 years ago and it transmitted tons of noise into the cab. I don't know how poly subframe and diff bushings sound? I would assume much quieter than solid ones.

Got all the poly suspension bushings in the mail
The old pilot bearing put up a good fight but decided to come out eventually
The pilot bearing got destroyed by the puller
Tapped every hole to clean the threads up
Monster stage 2 clutch & 18 LB flywheel
New GM bolts
Clutch all put together and torqued
Hopefully I can get the clutch slave installed tomorrow and then I need to drill the hole for the clutch line to run from the master to the slave. After that I can mount the clutch master and hopefully drop the engine in. I have a bunch more suspension bushings to install and I need to drop the subframe to change the subframe and differential bushings. More to come.

So what were the modifications to the LS1? What kind of power are you expecting from it?

All internal engine work done by previous engine owner. The only thing I've added is a LS6 PCV setup and factory rockers with the trunion upgrade.

Horsepower should be somewhere around 480whp-ish.
