Cleaning up the terrible rusty threads so I have no issues lifting the subframe back into place
All clean and covered in anti-sieze

Got the driver's rear put back together - Energy Suspension bushings everywhere, Kinetix camber and toe arms, new upper control arm, BC coils w/ Swift springs, Moog bearings and new hubs. That nasty caliper will be replaced as well.

Forgot to put the backing plate on, the rear shoes wouldn't have worked without it
New PowerStop rotors, pads, and SS lines
Passenger side rear - tomorrow's project

Nothing crazy to report. Life happens so I haven't gotten much done. The weather is warming up nicely so should be able to put more wrench time in. Got the ATI balancer torqued on. 235 lbs sucks. I sandwiched my left ring finger between the torque wrench and the frame when the drill bit I was using to hold the flywheel still slipped 🙄 probably gonna lose that fingernail.

Got the summer tires mounted. 265/40/18 on 18x9.5 +38 out back and 235/45/18 on 18x8.5 +35 up front
Couldn't find a pretty place to run the heater hoses.
Decided to start wrapping the headers once they were already installed 🤦
Didn't like the factory terminals so I installed these mil-spec ones and a distribution block for the positive terminal

Got a set of black housing eBay lights. They are just temporary. Gonna retrofit them to projectors once the car is driveable
The WEDS look killer in the sunlight
Vroom Vroom
What was left of the license plate light bracket. Grabbed a new one and got it installed with LED bulbs

Cut the top off of a 240sx pedal and welded it onto the stock G pedal. Works great with the Z32 throttle cable.
Finally got to drive it! Only about 10 feet but it was awesome.
Alignment is all out of whack and I still need to roll the rear fenders

I think the supposed low mileage GTO trans is trashed. I can only get it into 4th, 6th, and reverse when the engine is running. Luckily the engine/trans is easy to yank back out. When I return from vacation I'll pull it, see if anything looks wrong with the clutch, and possibly think about a level 2 rebuild if needed. I need to wrap the headers anyways, so it's not a huge deal to pull the motor

What happens if you start the engine with it in 1,2,3?

It starts fine but as soon as I let out the clutch, it pops out of gear. If i hold the shifter in gear, it will grind like crazy until I push the clutch back in.
