06 G35 Burning 4 Quarts Of Oil
I Have A Brand New 06 G35 That Burned 4 Quarts Of Oil In The First 3000 Miles. Now My Car Has 4200 Miles On It . Does Anyone Know Of Anyone Who Got Infiniti To Do A Buy Back On A Car Or Are They Just Replacing The Engines Cause I Dont Want 2 Different Vins On My Car Cause It Will Kill The Value

WELL the vin isnt located on the motor. Theres a engine # but its not a vin. No one will ever know. Have you ever checked the engine# before buying a car. Seems like your looking for a reason to get rid of your car. In the end the dealer isnt going to give you a new car. To get it to be a lemon you will have to give the dealer a chance to fix the problem three times.

i dont want to get rid of it by any means i thought the vin is on the engine and if that is the case it would have to be on the title also so no ive never checked the enginebut it would be noted on the title
Just a thought here...how frequently do you wind the engine to or near the redline? One of my beefs about the G, particularly the MT with the rev-up engine, is that in order to extract reasonable performance from what is purportedly a nearly 300 hp engine you have to wind the **** out of it. From long experience I know that frequently and repeatedly running an engine up to 7000 rpm almost invariably leads to excessive oil consumption.
