when did MD offer a 3/8? I've seen these mentioned on the forums but I've never seen it offered from them.

My guess is since it's a MD spacer, it's actually the 5/16" & not 3/8"

Nope. The early Motordyne spacers offerred were 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2". Here is a section from the group buy post when I purchased mine:

5) Bubble (1/4" spacer) PAID via paypal [4/20/05]
6) crypten (3/8" spacer G35C) PAID
7) insanex1, Greg, (3/8" spacer G35C) PAID
9) tonyplat (3/8" spacer G35X) PAID
10) etang789 (XL 1/2" spacer G35C) PAID via Paypal 4/21

Just a guess on my part, but Motordyne probably decided that offering 3 sizes was overkill, so they split the difference between the 2 smaller ones (1/4 and 3/8), and settled on 5/16.

Thanks again for your interest. It looks like the spacer is spoken for, but I'll confirm that once the deal is done.
