Not sure about the cops there... I know in Newport area, there are alot of cops catching people speeding... Since that part of PCH is like 35 I think.

Parking is not as big as the Beach by Huntington...

Here's Corona Del Mar, and the circled is the grassy part I believe the other poster was talking about...

Here's the beach by Magnolia and PCH... Lots of parking...

Oh yeah so what time frame will this be? Would have to get to either place pretty early to reserve the spots... and of course if we all want to park together we would have to get there pretty early too... I don't think people will like it if we just put out cones to reserve the spots...

Hai I'm going to look into seal beach on base and see if they have a picnic area. Only thing is this is on a base and well have to play by the rules. Actually we can do this at any base with a park. I just have to find out how, how much, rules etc..If this is a doable thing we can do this at a lot of areas around SOCAL even San Diego. Like I said I have to look into it. I would be responsible if it is on base..

Hai Eldorado is 562 570 1771
Reserved picnic area for groups of 100 to 3,000 fees are from 155 to 515. Refundable deposit.15 days in advance minimum.I have no problem helping fronting up the cash for the reserved spot. This would be the best we can all be together. and we don't need the permit to gather for 25 or more in the first come first serve area..

^^^hahahahaha....no worries. I'm sure everyone is confused a bit too! Just a FYI everyone:

PLEASE NOTE: If you are not on the list, please add yourself to the list. Unlike meets/cruises where you don't have to add yourself and just show up....... which is fine. But in this case, we do need to know who will be attending this event. That way everyone knows how much food to bring, etc. Thanks! If you show up with no food, please be prepared to pay about $20 a person. This will include the reservation fee which is about $150 for the park. Plus it will include food for you too! But it will NOT include alcohol. SOCALG35.com and none of us helping out with the event encourage you to drink, and are not responsible for you. If you do intend on drinking alcohol. Please drink responsibly!

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THE $20 PER PERSON IS JUST AN ESTIMATE. (THE COST PER PERSON MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER. WE WILL HAVE FINAL FIGURES WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK OR TWO!) THIS SIGN UP LIST WILL CUT OFF ON OCT 14th AT 12AM!

I'm +1 for El Dorado. Two main reasons why.....

1. Parking, parking, parking....getting about 20+ cars in one area is hard enough. With El Dorado, people must pay to park. So it's not like we're going to have trouble parking together! What I mean by this is that other places are public parking, and parking for people who will be at the beach on other occasions. But we want to try and all park together right?

2. Most places are 1st come, 1st serve for park benches/grills etc. right?
What if we are not the 1st ones there? I don't mind getting there early. Like 9am? But who REALLY doesn't mind getting there at the same time as me? But in MOST cases. Some people show up even earlier than 9am or whenever the park opens right? Hey.....we all work/school on the weekdays right? And don't mind sleeping in a bit on weekends? Just like me!

With El Dorado, we will have our OWN spot to grill, park, hangout etc.
But of course it will cost us about $150 or so to reserve a spot. This way if you/we are serious about the BBQ. We can make this one of the BEST G BBQ meet! But we do need everyones help, and feedback!

Thanks!

Just my 2 cents!
