Quote: the poll is tight. U guys are right about the catering, it will be less headache and easier to organize.
OMG Vlad... you should be in politics... you were the front-man for BBQ, now you are waffling to catering... are you changing your vote?... it's 5-5 as of now... if you switch its 6-4...

Quote: heck yeah!!! Bring the FX crowd!!!! I mentioned it in an FX thread last time we put a group together, but no one responded
Quote: Theres 4 or 5 of us so far....a couple of 35's and a couple of 45's.
psiclne, is the FX crew gonna join us? Or are you guys going as a separate group?... I saw your thread on scene... We'd love to join G & FXs... If you/and the other FXs are interested in the catering or BBQ please have your guys vote:

It would be cool to have a BIG Infiniti turn out!

We all remember the classic announcer quote "Infiniti's all over the place today" (or something like that) a few race days back...

I see Vlad's point about BBQing cuz it will give us something to do in between runs. It's just the logistics and having to get all of the supplies and food and someone to take everything there. Plus when our group gets called while we are cooking . . . catering just seems so much easier. Let someone else worry about those things and we will just worry about blasting down the 1/4 mile.

Quote: ummm... 7:30ish - gives more nappy time in bed (instead of car)

If we want 1st group I figure 6:00 is critical... also, I think that puts us with the caterer rather than BBQ - Once we get through inspection and find a pit area, group 1 will come up quick... if we are unloading grill, table, coolers, food, drink, etc... It might f-up the first run (or put us in too much of a hurry)

So group 1 = 6:00 = catered... group 2 = 6:15-6:30 = possible BBQ...

Just my thoughts...
Unfortunately, 6:15 is only good to get you into the 4th group at best.

I remember the last time I went to CS... Wally, Vlad, some other guys, and myself arrived at around 6:05. We waited 10 minutes and no one arrived. By that time, we were already in the 4th group (IIRC).

6:30 is pushing it way too much; that might not even make the cutoff if its a busy day.

Because there hasn't been a Street Legal Drags in a few months, I have a feeling that a lot of people are gonna show up. We better be there EARLY.

I've never been there, how many runs do you think we will get in with 400 cars? and is 6am really the best time? I would have to leave SD around 5am to get there intime

How early 530-600? I know the line starts forming around 530-545 on the street waiting for the gates to open.

I'm game to meet at IHOP to eat a little earlier to leave there by 5am.

First post says 6:00am meet time... someone determine a definitive time and lets all agree to be there then.

As for the food - since the poll may have been skewed (non participants voting), this thread seems to be leaning towards caterer... unless anyone adamantly objects, lets just go that route.

As for cost - I feel it's important that we get a commitment via funds in order to avoid canceling the caterer or getting stuck with more food and less money than necessary. If you guys want to PayPal me I'll take care of getting the food ordered and paid. With the current sign up we should be good with $10 per person. This won’t include drinks - we'll have to work that out separate.

If everyone agrees lets ink it. If someone has other thoughts/ideas, let’s hear 'em... we need to get this thing set so we can be more concerned about the cars and racing.

The most recent list I found is below… if you are reading this and are not on the list but plan to attend, please add your name. I will use this list if everyone agrees to the suggestion I listed above.

1) Hexx
2) OCG35
3) Klubbheads
4) WaLLy
5) Dsskyline
6) B L U E S L A T E
7) CandlestickPark
8) SmokeDriftR
9) Vlad's friend (07 Sedan 5AT)
10) Vlad's friend (07 TL-S 5at)

3-4 runs... it's an all day thing (plan on 6-8 hours)... follow the thread for definite meet time. The first post shows where to meet (same place as always for those that have done this before).

I think you will be cutting it close if you leave SD at 5am unless you live in temecula.

Yes 6-615 is the best time to get in line. Believe it or not close to 300 cars are there by 630!! Especially since this will be the 1st SL this yr and in the last 4 months.

I expect alot of people since CS is the only 1/4 mile track in So cal open to the public besides Famoso.

Henry, your name was removed somewhere down the line... it wasn’t on the most recent list I found (and re-posted above)... do you know if you can get the day off yet? It's just over a week away...

IMO it would be best if we were there no later than 6am. It's better to be safe than sorry.
